I have often talked of working for myself: "It'll happen one day." A lot of us have told ourselves that, haven't we? I've worked in the usual manner; for other people and organisations for which I have responsibility but don't actually own. I've thoroughly enjoyed it. It has been that "University of Life" you see so often on peoples' Facebook pages.
Time spent learning the skills of running a business, working with amazing people, listening to community and managing staff. I've learned exactly what strategy and risk are, how amazing! At the start of my management career, they were just really confusing buzz-words that people used without actually knowing what they really meant; nowadays they mean something. Actually.... they mean a great deal.
Amongst my learnings, I have realised that I can do a lot of things and hey, I'm pretty good at them. Remember though, I have NEVER achieved anything alone - thank you to those who have worked with me towards success; you know who you are.
Teams and networks are integral to success and I've had some really great ones around me! I am itching to meet more and more new people, so if you're around, let's get together through LinkedIn! Hit me up.
Ultimately, I've learned that I still have a lot to learn and I really look forward to it in a hands on capacity, every day.
Here it is, that after the amalgamation of my organisation with another; 'one day' has arrived. My husband kindly pointed out, "Eve, this is everything you've ever talked about. Just do it."
I have achieved degrees of success throughout my years as a CEO and senior manager but, no challenge ever made my palms sweat quite like the possibility of this jump.
Working for other people is comfortable but working for myself has an electricity around it - an excitement - a way forward. Does that sound as cool to you as it does to me? I hope so. I am so excited for the future and working with new people all over the country.
If you are looking for some awesome services and a helping hand AND you can handle someone as excited about the future as I am, give me a call on 0417 850 698 or email me at eve@evervs.com.au ! Join me on the next part of my journey!
